The housewarming ceremonies for Indiramma Houses would be organised in the coming seven to 10 days. Speaking at a programme held in Miryalaguda on Monday (June 9, 202%), Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that the sooner beneficiaries complete the construction, the earlier the bills will be paid.
The financial assistance of ₹5 lakh per house is paid in four installments. The bills are cleared on every Monday. The government is implementing the scheme on a pilot project basis in some villages where the constructions were taken up.
Later, the Minister through a press release said that basements were constructed for 9,877 houses, walls at 1839 and slabs were laid for 388 houses. On the whole, ₹99.64 crore was provided to the beneficiaries.
