Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Saturday (July 26, 2025), said the Congress government spent more funds for the development of Mysuru than the BJP did when it was in power.
He was reacting to a question from the media regarding Yatheendra Siddaramaiah, a Congress MLC, who stated that his father (Siddaramaiah) brought more development works for Mysuru than Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, at Arasikere in Hassan district.
The CM maintained that during the Congress party rule, the government did much development work in Mysuru. However, the BJP government did not develop Mysuru when they were in power.
Answering another question with regard to the shortage of funds for the newly formed Hassan City Corporation, Mr. Siddaramaiah said he would look into the issue.
He was in Arasikere to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for many development works in the Arasikere assembly constituency.
