A national training camp of the National Cadet Corps got under way at Nair Samajam Higher Secondary School, Mannar, on Thursday. It was inaugurated by NCC Kollam Group Commander Brigadier Suresh G.
Around 300 cadets from across the country are participating in the camp. The programme includes yoga sessions, study on national security and the defence system, arts and sports competitions, and study tours to historical monuments and tourist destinations in Alappuzha and Kollam districts.
10 Kerala Battalion NCC Commanding Officer Colonel Alphons presided.
