Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director of TVS Motor Company Limited, has been appointed as member of the Board of Trustees of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). He will hold office for the residue of the term of office of Justice (Retd.) H.L. Dattu, who has not taken oath as board member.
As per G.O. Ms. No. 329 issued by M. Hari Jawaharlal, Ex-Officio Secretary (Revenue – Endowments), the government had constituted the TTD Board with 29 members, including Justice (Retd.) Dattu, vide G.O. Ms.No.243, dated November 1, 2024, but the retired judge was not inducted into the board.
Now, the government appointed Mr. Venu as member of the Trust Board in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 96 (1) of the AP Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act of 1987.
This is Mr. Venu’s second stint as member of the TTD Trust Board.
