Now, women can self-register their pregnancy

by AutoTrendly

The State government has introduced the option of self-registration of pregnancy.

Married women can register on the PICME website https://picme3.tn.gov.in using the 12-digit number beginning with 133 to receive the Reproductive and Child Health ID number. Women must fill in the required details and upload the documents as specified on the website.

Pregnant women must provide details of their Aadhar card number, proof of residence and medical details, including proof of pregnancy.

A woman may choose to not reveal the name of the father of the child. The website also gives the woman the option of changing the name of the new baby’s father, in case of changes in her marital relationship.

The government has also hosted a website https://picme3.tn.gov.in/api/react2/PublicMrmbsApplication for facilitating registration under the Muthulakshmi Reddy maternity benefit scheme so that pregnant women can avail themselves of the benefits. Women need to produce 12 documents to establish their eligibility for the benefit.
