Bengaluru City received 37.2 mm rainfall for a period of 24 hours between 8.30 a.m. on May 19 and 8.30 a.m. on May 20. The Bengaluru HAL airport received 46.5 mm rainfall and the Kempegowda International Airport received 1 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The local forecast for Bengaluru city and neighbourhood issued at 9 a.m. on May 19 said that there would be generally cloudy sky.
“Moderate to Heavy rain/thundershowers accompanied with gusty wind (Wind speed 30-40 Kmph) likely. Maximum and minimum temperature are very likely to be around 27°C and 21°C respectively,” stated the IMD forecast.
