The Head to Head Challenge of the 72nd Miss World pageant kicked off at T-Hub, Hyderabad, on Tuesday. The event offered all the 108 contestants a platform to express their thoughts, share their projects and reveal what inspires them.
The contestants have been divided into two groups for the two-day programme. On Tuesday, participants from the Caribbean, Americas, and Africa delivered their speeches. On Wednesday, those from Asia, Oceania, and Europe will take the stage.
The contestants spoke on a wide range of pressing global and local issues, including child education, environment, paralysis, nature, support for young girls, the challenges faced by small communities, anxiety during teenage years, mental health, the power of affirmation, language preservation, violence in children, solar power, plastic pollution, gender-based violence, child sexual abuse, education for special communities, economic crises, autism and anti-drug education.
One of the highlights of the Head to Head Challenge is the focus on Beauty With a Purpose, the heart of Miss World’s mission to empower women through charitable projects and community-driven initiatives. Contestants will not only share their impactful work but also demonstrate their vision for a better world.
