The Mysuru District Guarantee Scheme Implementation Authority on Wednesday instructed district and taluk-level officials to raise awareness among the public about various guarantee schemes.

Presiding over the district-level progress review meeting on guarantee schemes, Arun Kumar S., District President of the authority spoke about the schemes and their progress in the district.

He said all departments must ensure that the five guarantee schemes, announced by the government, reach every eligible beneficiary and more awareness campaigns related to these schemes are conducted.

“A complaint box system should be introduced to address any issues beneficiaries might face, and the Gruha Lakshmi scheme should be widely promoted and turned into a model initiative,” he said.

Publicity boards for the Anna Bhagya scheme should be installed at relevant locations, and special attention must be given to fair price shops at the taluk level. A dedicated mobile app should be developed for the Anna Bhagya scheme, he said.

The Gruha Jyothi scheme, which provides 200 units of free electricity per household, should be promoted in rural areas. Under the Yuva Nidhi scheme, 11,154 applicants have registered in the district, and by the end of February, 2025, 8,286 beneficiaries had availed the scheme’s benefits, the meeting was informed.

He told officials to ensure there are no lapses in the implementation of guarantee schemes
