Telangana was forecast to receive rain till May 26, 2205

Telangana may continue to receive rain on Friday (May 23, 2025) as India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert cautioning of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds in all districts. The weather conditions were forecast to last till Monday (May 26, 2025). Only the speed of the gusts might vary.
Hyderabad and its surrounding areas were predicted to receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds over the next 48 hours. The maximum temperatures across the State were forecast to be less than 40 in the next five days.
With intermittent rains lashing several parts of the State over the past week, maximum temperatures have seen a decline. According to data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TGDPS), the highest maximum temperature on Wednesday (May 21, 2025) was recorded in Hajipur, Mancherial at 38.3C.
This was followed by Velgatoor in Jagtial, which reported 38.1C, while Sirpur in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad and Patancheru in Sangareddy recorded 38C each. Aswapuram in Bhadradri Kothagudem and Wazeed in Mulugu registered 37.9C, while Jammikunta in Karimnagar and Ramagiri in Peddapalli saw temperatures of 37.8C.
The remaining 25 districts reported maximum temperatures ranging between 32C and 38C, marking a drop due to recent showers. Urban regions also felt the impact of the weather conditions. Ghatkesar in Medchal Malkajgiri recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6°C, while Musheerabad in Hyderabad registered 35.4°C.
