The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Air Security Group (ASG), Cochin, on Saturday (May 24, 2025) celebrated the silver jubilee of its induction into the Kochi airport.

It was on May 24, 2000, that the agency took over the aviation security at the airport, which it considers as one of the busiest and most strategic airports in the country. The CISF marked the silver jubilee by organising a blood donation camp in association with Rajagiri Hospital. Nagendra Devrari, senior commandant, CISF unit ASG Cochin, inaugurated the camp. In his inaugural address, he praised the consistent efforts, dedication, and discipline of the CISF personnel who stood as a strong pillar of security at the Kochi airport.

Over the years, CISF unit ASG Cochin has handled numerous challenges and critical situations ensuring smooth and secure functioning of the airport.
