House burgled with duplicate key in Bengaluru

by AutoTrendly

A house in D.J. Halli was burgled using a duplicate key when the family had gone out to a relative’s house to celebrate Id-ul-Azha on Saturday.

Shahtaj Begum, in her complaint, said that she had gone out during the festival to visit a relative on Saturday around 11 a.m. and returned late in the evening to find the door open. She said gold ornaments worth ₹1.25 lakh, some cash, and other valuables were missing.

The police said that there was no forced entry into the house and the accused had used a duplicate key. “We are analysing CCTV camera footage from the area to get leads on the accused. Since a duplicate key was used, there is a suspicion that someone known to the family may have also been involved,” an officer said.
