A pedestrian was fatally knocked down by a truck along MC Road at Kuruppampady near Perumbavoor on Monday (June 9).
The deceased was identified as K.G. Thomas, 75, of Rayamangalam. The accident took place while he was crossing the road. The truck, which was on its way to Muvattupuzha from Perumbavoor, was reportedly speeding.
Though Thomas was rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The Kurumppampady police have registered a case against the truck driver.
