Tamil Sangom organises competitions for children

Prizes were presented to winners of book reading competitions, awareness essays against drug abuse, and drawing competitions organised by the P. Subramaniam Memorial Library at the Thiruvananthapuram Tamil Sangom here recently.

The competitions were organised through the Tamil Speaking Students’ Welfare Project of the library to empower Tamil speaking students. Cash prizes and certificates were presented to 76 students and 17 teachers who guided the students.

Tamil Sangom patrons R. Murugan and S. Gouthaman gave away the prizes. Its president M. Muthuraman presided. Scientist P. Sasikumar and writer Jothimani M. conducted a seminar on environmental protection for students.
