BRS working president and former MA&UD Minister K.T. Rama Rao has asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to stop the ‘Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) notice drama’ in the Formula-E racing issue “aimed at diverting people’s attention from actual problems being faced by people and the unkept promises.”

In case the Chief Minister was sincere in bringing out facts on the issue, he must get ready for a lie detector test along with him, Mr. Rama Rao said in a statement on Friday. He alleged that the Chief Minister was enacting the drama purely to divert people’s attention from problems.

He reiterated that the previous BRS Government had transferred ₹44 crore to the Formula-E body account from the official account of HMDA. It was an official and transparent transaction, and the amount was still lying in the account of the organisation (Formula-E), but it was the inefficiency of the Chief Minister that was unable to get back the money.

As a law-abiding citizen, he would attend the ACB examination at 10 a.m. on Monday, Mr. Rama Rao said and reminded Mr. Revanth Reddy that a case (cash-for-vote) was still pending against the latter after being caught red-handed with ₹50 lakh cash bag 10 years ago, while bribing an MLA. Since there were ACB cases against the two (KTR and Revanth Reddy), both could go for a lie detector test in front of a judge with live telecast to bring facts before people.
