The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that 13 Telangana districts, including Hyderabad, might receive thunderstorm on Tuesday (June 17, 2025). It predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds as likely to occur at isolated places across the affected regions.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, the districts under alert include Adilabad; Kumaram Bheem Asifabad; Mancherial; Pedapalli; Jayashankar Bhupalpally; Mulugu; Bhadradri Kothagudem; Yadadri Bhongir; Rangareddy; Hyderabad; Medchal Malkajgiri; Vikarabad, and Sangareddy.
Hyderabad and its surrounding areas
For Hyderabad and surrounding areas, the forecast predicts a generally cloudy sky over the next 24 hours. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected, accompanied by gusty winds. Morning hours may witness hazy conditions. The city’s maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32°C and 23°C, respectively,” the bulletin added.
