Case registered over cow mutilation in Bengaluru

by AutoTrendly

The Taverekere police have registered a case against unknown people after a cow belonging to a farmer in Sulivara village on the outskirts of the city, was found with its udder slashed on Friday.

According to the police, the cow belonged to Maribasavaiah from Sulivara Village, and the incident came to light when a few villagers noticed the cow lying in a pool of blood, writhing in pain at a nearby farm.

The villagers informed Maribasavaiah who rushed to the spot and called the veterinarian. The cow later died due to excessive bleeding, even though the veterinarian made a futile attempt to save it by performing surgery to stop bleeding.

Maribasavaiah alleged that Gurusiddappa, to whose farm the cow had ventured, had a grudge against him for not voting in favour of his candidate in a local election, and Gurusiddappa had committed the offense to avenge him.
