The Bachupally police arrested a man for attempting to circulate ₹15 lakh in counterfeit ₹500 notes in Hyderabad. The accused, identified as Prathipati Prem Chandu from West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, had allegedly conspired with an associate named Rakesh from Pune, Maharashtra.

Investigation revealed that Rakesh introduced Chandu to a method of earning easy money by distributing fake currency notes in Hyderabad in exchange for a commission.

On the afternoon of June 21, around 3:30 pm, the police arrested Prem Chandu near Nizampet Arch while he was preparing to deliver fake ₹500 notes amounting to ₹15 lakh. He was remanded to judicial custody. Further investigation is underway.
