The Govindarajanagar police are on the lookout for two men, who allegedly attacked a 77-year-old woman and robbed her valuables on 11th Main Road, Subbanna Garden, Vijayanagar, on Wednesday morning.
The victim, Indira Honnagangaiah, a resident of Bapuji Layout, went out for her morning walk at around 9.30 a.m., when two men on a motorcycle confronted her and tried to snatch her gold chain. In the melee, the chain fell on the ground, and the duo sped away.
Shocked, she picked up the chain, put it in her purse, and started to walk back home. However, within ten minutes, the duo returned, snatched her purse, and sped away.
The purse contained a 40 gm gold chain worth ₹3 lakh, a mobile phone, and ₹400 in cash. The victim returned home, and later filed a complaint with the police.
