Nine new Lions clubs inaugurated in Karnataka

K.L. Rajashekar, who recently assumed charge as the District Governor of Lions International District 317G, comprising Mysuru, Mandya, and Chamarajanagar districts, inaugurated nine new Lions clubs on the second day of the Lions year — July 2 — setting a new record. The new Lions year commences annually on July 1.

The newly inaugurated clubs are: Mandya Souharda Lions Club; Mandya Sakkare Siri Lions Club; Pandavapura Amman Aasare Lions Club; Pandavapura Akshaya Lions Club; Mysuru Souharda Lions Club; Hunsur Pride Lions Club; Hunsur Heritage Lions Club; Mysuru Santrupti Lions Club; and Mysuru Kittur Rani Chennamma Lions Club.

With the launch of these clubs, District 317G has made a strong start to the year. On the same day, a meeting of Leo clubs was also held, during which three new Leo clubs were inaugurated: Kuvempunagar Leo Club, Vishwamanava Kuvempu Leo Club, and Aasare Leo Club, according to a press release.

The inauguration of these clubs also marked the official formation of a new Leo District under 317G.
