Eluru District Collector K. Vetriselvi has instructed officials to draft action plans for the development of constituencies under established guidelines to achieve targeted growth rates.
At a review meeting on Friday, the Collector said that vision documents have already been prepared for the district and its constituencies as part of the Swarnandhra Vision-2047 Action Plan. These plans emphasise the abundant natural resources available in the region and outline strategies to establish food processing units in the agriculture and horticulture sectors, aiming to position the district as an emerging industrial hub. Vision Action Plan Unit Offices have been set up at the constituency-level. Each unit will include the respective constituency MLA, a district-level nodal officer, a subject matter expert and a team of five members, she said.
The Collector emphasised that the staff of these units must work with sincerity and commitment to implement development plans by effectively utilising available resources and opportunities. The goal is to eradicate poverty, generate employment for youth and ensure a 15% growth rate at the constituency-level.
CPO Vasudevarao, DRDA Project Director Vijayaraju, Samagra Shiksha Project Director Pankaj Kumar, Animal Husbandry Joint Director Govindarajulu, Horticulture Deputy Director Rammohan, Fisheries JD Nagalingacharyulu and others were present
