Anbumani urges Speaker to remove Arul as party’s whip

PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Friday wrote to the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker, M. Appavu, informing him of his decision to remove Salem West MLA and PMK whip R. Arul, from the party’s primary membership.

He said Mailam MLA C. Sivakumar had been selected as the party’s whip by PMK’s elected representatives and urged the Speaker to pass appropriate orders to reflect the change.

The move comes after Mr. Arul recently expressed loyalty to party founder S. Ramadoss.
