Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and co-founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha passed away on Monday (August 4, 2025), his son and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren announced through social media platform X.
Soren has been admitted to the Sri Ganga Ram Hospital in the national capital for over a month due to a kidney-related issue.
The 81-year-old leader has been the leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for the past 38 years and is recognised as the party’s founding patron.
