A special train from Tiruchi to Tambaram, to clear the “extra rush” of commuters this weekend, will be operated through the main line by the Southern Railway.
According to the press release issued by the Southern Railway, the 12-car unreserved MEMU train will leave Tiruchi at 10.50 p.m. on Sunday and pass through Tiruverumbur (arrival 11.08 p.m.), Budalur (11.26 p.m.), Thanjavur Junction (11.48 p.m.), Papanasam (00.10 a.m. Monday), Kumbakonam (00. 22 a.m.), Mayiladuthurai Junction (00.54 a.m.), Sirkazhi (1.14 a.m.), Chidambaram (1.30 a.m.), Cuddalore Junction (2.08 a.m.), Panruti (2.34 a.m.), Villupuram Junction (3.35 a.m.), Dindivanam (4.18 a.m.), Melmaruvathur (4.43 a.m.) and Chengalpattu (5.18 a.m.) to reach Tambaram by 6.10 a.m. on Monday.
