The ‘Super Six–Super Hit’ public meeting in Anantapur on Wednesday drew an overwhelming response, TDP State president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao told the media here on Thursday.

Hailing it as a turning point for Rayalaseema’s future, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the government fulfilled 90% of the ‘Super Six’ promises. “That is why the meeting turned out to be a super hit,” he added.

Aerospace hub

Recalling the development ushered in by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Anantapur, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said drip irrigation turned the district into a horticultural hub. “The arrival of Kia Motors made it an automobile hub. And now, Anantapur will emerge as India’s largest aerospace hub — a transformation that will make the nation proud,” he said.

The Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (NHSS) project brought 3,850 cusecs of water to Anantapur. With projects such as Jeedipalli and Bhairavanithippa, thousands of acres had come under cultivation, laying the foundation for Rayalaseema’s agrarian future, he asserted.

“Rayalaseema’s resurgence is possible only with the double-engine government,” Mr. Srinivasa Rao said, and observed that the support of JSP chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, the cooperation of the Union government, and the experience of Mr. Naidu together formed the pillars of the region’s revival.

Dig at Jagan

Mr. Srinivasa Rao accused YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of confining himself to fake propaganda on the social media. Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy had spoken three capitals but delivered none. He had shed tears over the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant but could not secure a single rupee from the Centre. “The NDA government, with the Centre’s support, could get ₹14,000 crore and revive VSP to 80% operational capacity,” he claimed.
