Did Simpson predict Europe’s massive blackout? Here’s what 1998 and 2007 episode forecasted about global power outage

by AutoTrendly

The Simpsons past episodes forecasted a global blackout similar to the April 28 power outage in Europe. The Simpsons episode from 1998 titled “The Last Day of Springfield” refers to the time a massive blackout grips a city. In another episode titled “Last Day of civilization” Simpsons forecasted a global power outage on April 30th when the world would turn dark. This seems similar to the massive power outage witnessed on Monday.

Spain, Portugal and the south of France faced blackout and power disruptions on April 28 which severely impacted flights, hospitals, and office operations.

It is alleged that grid overload was responsible for the power disruption as it was highly dependent on unstable “green” energy and lacked reserve capacity.
