Income Tax Bill 2025 unanimously adopted by Parliament’s Select Committee, to be tabled in Monsoon session

The Income Tax Bill 2025 that aims to simplify the tax law, has been adopted unanimously in the last meeting of the Select Committee on Wednesday. 

The panel led by Jay Panda made 280 changes in the language of the bill. The 3,790 page- report will be tabled in the monsoon session, paving the way for passage of the bill.

The Income Tax Bill was tabled at the Budget session of the Parliament earlier this year.
