As the date for the most auspicious Hindu festival Raksha Bandhan comes near, it’s time to prepare for the festivities to celebrate brother-sister bond. Celebrated in Shravana month during full moon day or Purnima day, Raksha Bandhan rituals should not be practiced and avoided during Bhadra, according to Drik Panchang.

This year, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm on Saturday, August 9. Drik Panchang suggests that the auspicious thread ceremony sould be observed between 5:47 AM and 1:24 PM.
